UPDATE: FOUND
Westlake, Louisiana
At approximately 0400 a barrage of bullets shattered the darkness at a residence on the 2400th block of Duraso Drive in Westlake, Louisiana. Multiple squad cars were seen at the residence a few nights prior, and extra patrols took place in the neighborhood after the fact. Despite the extra patrols, Law Enforcement was not able to prevent the double homicide, kidnapping, and attempted murder, where a woman was shot 6 times and survived, remaining in critical condition.
The community is devastated. A source noted that there were “plenty of opportunities to remedy the issue” (with Mr. Neil P. Broussard) but he unfortunately was “protected from the public so that the system could get a few years labor out of him and chunk change in taxes." The prison which housed Mr. Broussard was closing years ago and he wound up released for good behavior allegedly, according to a source. "Now, deputies are putting their lives on the line chasing an armed child rapist that just murdered 2 people, kidnapped a 14 year old, and shot a woman six times, you know, the ‘greater good.’ Stated the source.
”Speed Media isn’t sure that there is some sort of monopoly on violence and vigilante justice by the justice system, and has no remark or opinion on this. Speed Media’s opinion was not represented on this matter and it has a journalistic duty to let all sides be heard on the matter.
51 year old Neil Broussard was previously accused and convicted of 3 counts of molestation, and he currently has an active warrant for 1st degree rape and molestation of a juvenile. Deputies had him “contained” with the dogs in the woods of Ragely in Beauregard parish but at 1:36PM an emergency alert went out stating that he was at large, so it is unclear as to whether or not he is contained or not, but he should be treated as such. Do not approach this man. Sources say the victims car was dumped at Gaytine Rd. in Ragely. This man is armed and dangerous.
A source who may or may not be accurate also states “Remember, only shoot if you feel “your life was in imminent danger”. Never claim that you “shot to kill” always shoot to “eliminate the threat”. If the person trying to kill you ‘so happens’ to die after the fact, you can sort the rest out later in court. Getting mental counseling is recommended. Shooting for vigilante’s sake, shooting to kill alone, or shooting for any other reason is not permitted by the court of law.”
Neil Broussard, 51
