All of Westlake’s political nightmares summed up in one photo.
Chlorine Gas, a dangerous, deadly carcinogenic substance has fortunately been contained by the local waterbody, Lake Charles. The fire marshall, Butch Browning, states that Chlorine Gas is falling into the lake from plumes in the air, but according to reports, “no Chlorine Gas has been detected in the air by LDEQ in their initial report.” They didn’t mention any other reports, only the initial negative one..
"What they have found is no low-level detection of chlorine offsite, where people walk and where people gather — which is a good thing,"
Fire Marshall Browning Stated.
“The wording is concerning. He didn’t say there was not any chlorine gas in the air, he stated that there was no low-level gas detected in the air. He however has stated that there is chlorine plumes in the air.”
A Texas resident states on a blog pertaining to the explosion.
"The cloud, the plume, as it goes in the air and moves out there is chlorine. Those chemicals are falling in the lake, which is the right place for it because it dilutes the chlorine. So that, we don't believe, is endangering anyone."
One local is thankful that the Chlorine Gas Plumes are not endangering anyone and is helping to make Lake Charles water cleaner.
”I’m glad that the chlorine has decided to skip over all houses and properties, and arch into only the lake. It’s great to see it just skipping everything but the lake.”
which according to sources, is basically swimming pool chlorine that just happens to be in post explosion plume form, falling only in the water, avoiding all water crafts and lake homes.
”They are PRing this like the chlorine smoke plumes are doing us a favor by existing and making Lake Charles a nice giant swimming pool.“

Some experts however, are not too privy to the idea of Chlorine Gas plumes in the air:
“The idea that the chlorine gas plumes in the air are just going to skip over everyone and go into the lake only is very unlikely.”
An unnamed expert claims.
Some residents are skeptical. One resident writes “I don’t know why anyone would say that it’s safe and not harming anyone whenever there is a shelter in place order as a precaution. It’s irresponsible considering how easily convinced these people are that nothing bad will happen, and it just seems like everyone is covering the plants ass on both ends. in 10 years there will probably be class action lawsuits”.
Speed Media has no remarks on the matter.
